Paula Faris

Paula Faris is an American journalist who worked previously as the TV correspondent for ABC News. Her roles as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host on The View (2015-2018) are very well-known. The show was co-hosted by her prior co-anchors America This Morning as well as World News Now. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Because of the lack of opportunities in television, she was offered an opportunity as a radio sales representative. After one year working as a production assistant for WKEF/WRGT, she was eventually in a position to report and anchor occasionally. From 2002 until 2005 she was the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports anchor at the station WCPO in Cincinnati. The contract was ended and she was hired as a reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. In December 2011, she was hired by ABC News which is the news division of ABC. The first time she appeared on ABC News was on the 2nd of January, 2012 on ABC's World News Now, and America This Morning. She was a correspondent as well as substitute for Good Morning America during this period. In the following years, she was made a New York-based correspondent on all ABC News programs. She was unable to finish the final show of World News Now or America This Morning. It was on January 22nd the 22nd of January 2013. Her debut was on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor on the 9th of August 2014. This was following Bianna Golodryga shifted to Yahoo! News. On August 25, 2015, ABC announced she would join The View as a co-host for season 19. On August 3, 2016, it was announced that they had renewed her contract for its twentieth season. She was also renewed as a co-host for Season 21. During the series' 21st and 22nd seasons, she was mainly on screen during the series' Friday-night episodes.
