Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She began her career as a TV and film producer, including "The New Card Sharks", (1978), and "Card Sharks" (1986). She continued to produce projects like Double Dare (1976), and has appeared on many television shows such as E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). She was perhaps best known for her part in "Christine Sullivan", an actress and Night Court star (1984). From 1984 until 1992, she played in 156 episodes. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a poet and noted nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April 7, 2015). Two daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30, 1990), were her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto, California and grew up near Walnut Creek, California. As an athletics coach, she attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek. The Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She was a trick roper on The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The body was cremated and the remains were returned to her husband Michael A. Ross. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st birthday on August 7, 2021. She passed away just 27 days before fellow Night Court (1984) co-star Charles Robinson, who passed died on July 11, 2021. Even though the two shows are not related, Night Court (1984) concluded with Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992), began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later relocated into a smaller town after her time in Washington DC.
